Nora + Momma | Bluffton, IN

These "momma + me" session are starting to become my favorite sessions (besides labor/birth photos!) There is just something about a momma's love that can't be explained but I try to just capture little pieces of the love that I can.

If you haven't done a session with just you and baby (or babies!) get on that now! They are only little once and I promise you won't regret them! <3

King Family | Bluffton, IN

I photographed Adam and Rachael's wedding back in October of 2012! Wow has time changed some things! Their family as has grown a lot since then!!

With three boys we sure did have our hands full ... or maybe just me! Adam and Rachael handle the craziness so well I was very impressed! Lot's of love and some fun in this session! :)

Heller Family | Bluffton, IN

Meet the Heller family! Aka my second family! I have known them now for over 7 years and know that they will stay in my life forever. I was Graci's first babysitter when Jodi went back to work after maternity leave. What started out as a nanny job has turned into a lifelong friendship between not just Graci and I but her whole family! They have treated me like one of their own since the first day I was there, now 7 years later we have shared laughter, tears, heartache, celebrations, and milestones together.

Here are just a few of my favorites!

Distance Unveiled

Just when you think you've got this long distance thing down something comes along and knocks you back three steps and you feel like this just isn't going to work. I knew going into this distance period that we could get through it like we had before in the past but I was seeking for something more out of the distance period.

What I was looking for was growth from the distance. When you're married and your husband is away for a long period of time you can either just make it through the time or you can grow from it coming out stronger on the other side (that was my thought process at least!)

I wanted and longed to come out of this period of time a better wife having more confidence in my marriage than ever before. Because if you want to test your marriage, spend some time on facetime with bad internet, be in a different time zone and both be doing work/school full time and do all of the above every day for months.  It will test your patience and communication skills.

Zoe | 6 Months

I'm a little late posting these photos! But here is Zoe's 6-month photo shoot! She is getting so big!!

Let's take her to the fair

About two weeks before the fair Graci says to me "We should take Emma to the Fair like you take me to the fair!" I agreed and said, "WE should do that!" I've taken Graci to the Fair the past few years to do the fish game, get cotton candy, ride down the slide etc .. you know Fair type things. I have enjoyed every year doing so. When Graci thought of taking Emma with us this year it made me happy. I love being an aunt and doing things with Emma. I think it made me happy because I love that Graci enjoys playing with Emma, I think I secretly hope they get along so we can all do things together, like this.
Auntie Lane was in on the action to this year, she also wanted to take Emma to the Fair so we all got together and made it happen.
Fish, sweets, games and parade! Oh, what a fun time. Emma did pretty well for her first big day at the Fair the noise from the parade was a lot for her, but she enjoyed it I think. Now she's got the idea of how fun the Fair can be

Chloe | Bluffton, IN

I used to do senior photos all the time. I think because when I was a senior/graduating I knew a lot of other graduates. I was their friend or knew their friends of friends. I loved every senior session! But the older I got (I realize I'm not that old) the less and less senior inquiries I got. I have gotten a few here and there  for the fall or spring season but not like I used too. I started missing the young senior's sessions. They are fun, personal and inspiring! I love all the sessions I do, don't get me wrong!

Harper | Bluffton, IN

Miss Harper turns 1 years old! WHAT??!! It was a year to the day that she was born when we took these pictures! I can remember Sam (momma) texting me saying she was at the hospital and thinking she might be in labor. I thought, well maybe... but probably will be later today or tomorrow. I went to the hospital thinking "It's her first, so this will be a long process"

NOPE! Harper was ready to meet her family! It was no time before she was born! I am so so overwhelmed with joy when I get to witness babies be born. I also get to capture these moments for the family to hold dear for the rest of their lives..... Yup, my job is THAT cool!!

Enjoy Harper's 1 year old photos. At the end, I'll share her birth video again! :)

P.S .... Pregnant? Wondering if a birth photographer is important? Let's chat about it! Email ME!

Now that's you

cally + freya | Bluffton, IN

Can I just say, that I was loving this whole session! Cally is unbelivablely gorgeous insdie and out and miss Freya was adorable!!

Our husbands are both away so to spend a evening being with someone who completely understands the heartaches of not having your spouce around was nice. We were able to chat and capture some sweet moments between her and Freya!

Summer 2016 | Video

This summer was a summer of letting go, surprises, growth, goodbyes, hellos, disappointment but lots and lots of LOVE too. I can't quite explain all the emotions that went through my head in just one summer.

We started the summer out letting go of the house we had come to really love. To me, this house ( in Fort Wayne) was a home of healing for my personal growth. I found balance in this home. I was able to walk Nova every day to a beautiful park where I had some great time to just be at peace. I was happy there, but things just weren't falling into place for us to stay.

With Cain's Flight Medic position he had to get his Paramedic's license within a certain period of time because of the funds the Army was giving. So we decided that I would move home (Bluffton) to my parent's house, while Cain left to get his paramedic's license in an accelerated paramedic course. I was happy to be back "Home" (Bluffton) but the feelings of leaving my own "home" hurt.
