3 month faces

The many faces of Ollie Cain! Little behind (okay, a lot) on updated photos here on the blog! So many sweet photos daily I'd love to share but I guess some will have to stay with us for now as I am slow to get to them! Enjoy these though!

rainbow hearts onesie | 0-3

When I received this gift, I cried.

Not only was it an adorable rainbow heart onesies, but in the gift bag, there was also onesie for each size for the first year on this side of the earth! It was so incredibly thoughtful and I knew that moment I would document each month!

Rainbows | My favorite shops right now

Sharing my favorite photos from yesterday afternoon. I had to capture these shorties on him while they still fit (Ollie Cain is growing bigger every day!) I also found my rainbow mama shirt online that needed to be captured while it was clean of pee, spit up or even more normal - poop!

We love dressing in rainbows.
After seeing dark clouds, we treasure the colors of the rainbow.

Oliver's Birth Story | Part 4

8:50pm I hear "Grab some towels for the ride to the hospital, just in case"

Oliver's Birth Story | Part 3

There's a quote that goes like this "The energy that gets the baby in is the energy that gets the baby out." -Ina May Gaskin

Oliver's Birth Story | Part 2

Part 2

I lost my whereabouts, all sense of time and who was around me as the morning approached, leaving behind a sleepless night. I was only focused on getting through one contraction at a time. I took each one like a wave. I found a rhythm in the early morning that helped me stay focused.

It went something like this: as the contraction (wave) came to me I would take a deep breath into the hand towel that had drops of Young Living's Peppermint oil on it, I had thrown up earlier in the morning so my doula Natalie prepared the hand towel for me to sniff, it became part of the routine after that, the peppermint helped with nausea and also helped me stay energized after a long night awake. So as I breathed the Peppermint in I would say to myself "This won't last forever" - I wanted to remind myself each time that this would be over and I was closer to our baby.

Little Details | Preparing for Baby Earth-Side

Moving into a home just 3 months before your due date put a lot of unwanted stress on me.  But slowly I started to make progress and getting this home baby ready. And while Cain's been gone the past three weeks I've really pushed hard on getting the small detailed things covered. The three main rooms I've wanted to get things in order was the Livingroom, our Bedroom and of course the big room, the BIRTH ROOM! aka Baby's room after birth.

Today I'm just showing you what I've put out in the Livingroom and Bedroom. Just the little details I hope to make life easier with a newborn.

Livingroom first! My "feeding station" is what I'm calling this area. Basically, the place I plan to do must my sitting and feedings with our baby. I found this Grey Rocker on Amazon and knew I had to have it for this spot. It kept with the color theme of the couches, it was a rocker (a must!) and wasn't too big or too small!

Not yet in the Livingroom is the pack and play with the newborn insert. That will be in front of the window area. We will use it for diaper changing and a place for baby to get some sun!

Carrying you, Baby | Bump Photos by Fox Photography

I've been trying to get around to posting these photos for .... well, maybe 3 months now!

Look, here I am doing it though so I won't be so hard on myself!!

I was so excited to finally get photos taken of our growing baby and this bump! Note* baby has grown so much in just a few months!

Mariah Fox, Fox Photography was the one I intrusted with these. I knew I needed her contagious laugh and out going spirit to get me through a session that could have been hard. I wanted the session to be care-free and wild. I wanted pure happiness and to show the beauty that I felt on the inside!

Speaking of beauty... I have four people to thank for my speical glow at this session!

Ashlyn from Salon Renew spent such speical care of my lashes, making me feel so gorogus <3

Chloe came to my house and did wonders on my face, she made me feel flawlesss

My friend Haley let me borrow the dress I wore in most the photos, it was perfect for my belly!

Cain gets a specail shout out too, he makes me feel sooooo incredible and sings "Your body is a wonderland" anytime I want <3

Same Love | One Year Apart

Same love, different Baby!

What a crazy one year tranformation!

As this day was aproaching I could just sense my heart was unsure of how to handle the saddness that comes with milestones after loss. I also wanted to be glad though too. So I kept the gladdness in my heart and dwelled on it.

The gladdnes was that for one year I have been a mom. For one year I have gotten to love two different babies. In one year my body changed, my heart changed.
