Week #2 2015

1.8.15

This is Nova's spot. At our old apartment we had the couch right up against the window looking out on the yard. She would be there morning-night watching the people pass by, staring down squirrels and letting us know if any other dogs were out there that wanted to play!

Now in our new home the couch is now right where this window is. Nothing goes on outside that she won't tell us about :) We love our watch dog.

1.9.15

The snow just keeps coming!

Nova was very interested in why Cain didn't let her out to help shovel the snow!

Oh maybe because the neighbor lady was out too and we took a wild guess that it would be best to NOT let Nova lick her face off!

1.10.15

I know there are beautiful sunsets every night, but sadly I seem to always miss them or not have my camera on hand when I do see them. This evening though I was out taking photos when this happened.

1.11.15

Sundays might be my favorite day. I normally get to go home (Dad&Mom) and spend the day talking with my parents. I always come home with goodies too. Thanks Dad for my Money plant (Cain wants to know when it will start growing money)

1.12.15

I received this awesome gift from my mother in law, Toni. She had this made for our cave. I haven't decided the location it will go at ... all in good time though.

P.s the "love" birds are my favorite part!

1.13.15

Tuesday was my first day out since the heavier snow came. Cain kindly made a path and cleared off my car before leaving for school that morning.

Before heading off though I took the second to see how pretty the house looks with snow around with blue, blue skies.

1.14.14

When we moved in this past November I knew right away that I couldn't have a yellow kitchen. Now if you have a yellow kitchen and you love it... by all means, keep it and live in it. But me, no way! My sister had a yellow room growing up and I loved her room. I would walk in and it would be like the happiest place on earth.

But it's not my color and with the blue cabinets also in the kitchen, it was a hot mess... for me that is!

So Wednesday we changed things up a bit. You'll see the before and afters here soon :)

1.15.15

After a very busy day before painting the kitchen I was left with a huge mess to clean up while Cain went back to school for the day. I had to paint some more things, put back together the kitchen, do the loads of laundry and just totally clean up the house!

I also needed to run to the store to pick up some groceries. When I went out to my car, it wouldn't start! It was dead! Battery gone. No longer working. HA

The plans I had for the day disappeared lol so having to wait for Cain to get home to do the running around I needed wasn't part of the plan, but it worked.

I had planned to make pizza for dinner, which takes a hour or more. I have to make the crust from scratch, pizza sauce, and "ranch" dressing.  I had to cook the chicken, crust and bacon too.

Yes it would have been tons easier to order pizza in that night, or even run out and get it frozen. But that's not how I work. When I sit down to eat I want to know whats in my food and that it's good for our bodies!

So I baked away while Cain put a new battery into my car. (Thankful for a handy husband!)

Some things just don't go as planned but we make do just fine, we work better together :)

Grogg's FIRST Christmas Tree

So... we had our pictures taken :)

In a dream world I would hirer a photographer to follow my little family around 24/7 to capture every little moment. It would save me a lot of time ... AND I could then be in ALL the photos. Wouldn't that be nice? It's every photographers dream to be in the photos once in awhile!

This is our first Christmas as husband and wife! Yay! And we are in a house! Double the excitement going on here! :)

I knew we would be getting a Christmas tree this year because, well I love them. But Cain made sure we got a real Christmas tree. That part I didn't care either way. I've never had a real Christmas tree so it being our first year together, why not go all out and do it right!

Stevenson's Photo (Jennifer) has taken our photos before. We were just dating when she first photographed us at my parents home in Bluffton. I love her work! So I knew who I would ask to follow us around in search of the perfect tree!

It was a cold out but of course that didn't stop us from searching rows of trees to find the perfect one with a TAG! Who knew finding a tree would be so hard? Cain found the perfect one though and I brought my camera along to help photograph. It wasn't because I didn't trust Jen, but because I wanted pictures of what it looks like most of the time in our life... Cain doing something and me photographing it! It was more of a realistic photo shoot that way :p

Photographer wars ... ;)

BIG THANKS TO LANE! She came along and stood out there with us in the cold to help babysit Nova when she wasn't in the pictures.

And another BIG THANKS TO >>> STEVENSON PHOTO

First snow day of the year

What's not to love about a good old snow day? Cain had off work and  I didn't pick Graci up until the afternoon, so while Cain (being the great guy he is) shoveled the front of the drive way out I grabbed my camera and joined him outside. Nova just was going crazy! Not for sure what was going on, and pretty sure Cain and the snow were out to get her, she was on edge. She only barks when Cain gets her round up, or if she thinks something is wrong. And here Cain was teasing her, and the whole snow flying through the air had her a confused.

I love our pup Nova. She is part of the family, spoiled and loved way too much for a Dog. Oh well :)

I love Nova's fur with the snow in the background. The sun was hitting it just right to show the redish, brown color!

Snow on the nose.

"What mom?" Look

Our beautiful snow dog. Oh how we love you!!!!

You might think this shot is a mess up, but it's not. I actually see this and think, "ahhhh, I love her ears" And photograph it. To me this is perfect. I love this one!

I also love this shot. I may or may not have been trying to catch a little peek of Cain's back side. My handsome fiancé in the the snow working hard.... I love having a camera on hand ;)

Nova was SURE something wasn't right. The snow flying, Cain not paying addition to her. She was in full on guard mode.

"I'm gonna get you, I'm gonna get you!"

"I'm getting out of HERE!!!" (She's all talk)

She decided to stay back and just watch what Cain was doing :)

She was barking just a little to much for our liking so Cain, calming told Nova to sit and that was enough barking! I love this shot because Nova is just looking up at Cain I'm sure thinking "I love you dad, I'll shut up, I won't bark... would you just play with me for a little while I promise I'll be good"

Cain being the awesome dad he is to our sweet pup.

 She loves giving kisses!

I love seeing Cain through my camera lens. His smile lights up the place, his eyes just shine with joy. I watch through my lens and smile. Wow I love this man. How'd I get so lucky?!

He is my best friend, and soul mate. I can't wait to marry him.
